Billiard Factory is moving from an eSTORIS checkout toward headless Shopify and Xorosoft’s XoroERP through a phased retail-system migration.
Off STORIS / Platforms / Commerce transition
The workCommerce transition
Test each replacement before cutover.
The rebuilt Billiard Factory front end is live while checkout still uses eSTORIS. Shopify is intended to own online commerce behind that front end; Xorosoft’s XoroERP has been selected for the operational core. The plan moves capabilities in stages, with parallel reconciliation before money or inventory changes hands. Implementation is under way; cutover dates remain dependent on the work.
Why this work matters
Keeping the live customer-facing site in place while checkout and operations migrate gives the team a staged way to test replacements. Parallel reconciliation matters because an inventory or order mismatch would affect real customers.
A closer look02 parts
01 / The architecture
Keep the front end, change what powers it.
The existing Eleventy site is intended to remain the customer-facing layer while Shopify takes cart, checkout, customers and online orders. A separately owned data mirror and integration layer are planned to connect the new systems without making each module depend directly on STORIS.
02 / The migration rule
Reconcile before removing a dependency.
The program plan keeps STORIS as the source of record for money and inventory until each replacement capability runs in parallel and its numbers reconcile. An employee shell, read-only mirror, showroom workflows, purchasing and inventory are staged later; they are roadmap items, not finished launches.
